Pasta Fagioli

 

 

1 lb  grass fed beef

2 organic celery stalks

2 organic carrots

1 medium organic yellow onion

1 can organic Great Northern beans (undrained)

1 can organic kidney beans

2 cans (14 oz) organic stewed tomatoes, diced

3 cans clear organic beef broth

14 oz organic spaghetti sauce

Seasonings to your preference….

Italian seasoning, cumin, chili powder, garlic powder, salt & pepper

Pasta of your choice – we prefer gluten-free brown rice pasta – ½ box

 

Salt the bottom of a soup pot, add ground bison/beef and brown. Drain fat.  Add celery, carrots, onion, to pan.   Cook on medium heat until slightly tender. 

Add the remaining ingredients (with the exception of the pasta) and bring to a boil.  Turn down to low, cover and cook for at least 30 minutes.

 Cook pasta according to package.  Add to soup before serving.
